Independent Publishing from Emacs
Don't get me wrong: I love Emacs. After all, which Emacs user doesn't? It's the best thing since sliced bread and, if you use enough (()), you can probably slice your bread with it as well.
However, it's not very portable. You really need a computer to use it. When you think "Emacs", you're thinking "Laptop" or "Desktop" - not "Tablet" or "Smartphone". Sure, there are some people who run Emacs on mobile devices, but I've found it to be…unpractical. And, as my blog is tied into publishing via my own fully built elisp Emacs system, that is a problem if I'm "oot and aboot".
Enter a two way publishing system for my blog via the web and Emacs - both supported. You can't really get better than that, in my view. Plus, it makes taking pictures and posting them very easy.
Now, you might be wondering: Why would I need yet another publishing system? After all, didn't I just build one with Tabaway? Well, yes. Yes, I did. But Tabaway's publishing format is more geared towards a social media-like timeline as opposed to full blog page articles. Sure, there's no limit on Tabaway (unlike other…/lesser/ social media sites), but the format is still more of a slender column stream of information.
That means that this blog system will soon be implemented in Tabaway as well, so that people can do both.
